1. Prep your squares for assembly
Start by pressing all the embroidered squares face down.

Press all squares to remove creases and wrinkles.
Lay out the embroidered block with the cotton square provide into a pleasing checkerboard setting.
Sew the squares together using a 1/4"seam allowance. The seam allowance must be accurate and consistent. This will make matching up the corners quick and easy. Press seams open as you go.
Sew the squares together in horizontal rows. Starting at the top, sew each horizontal row to the next. Align and pin the corners as best you can. Work your way down row after row making sure to press each horizontal seam open.
By sewing a consistent 1/4" seam allowance and pinning, your checker board pattern should match up accurately at all intersecting corners. Now is a good time for a final press.
With your quilt top complete you are ready to make a Quilt sandwich.
